Marriage Tradition

In Japan, the style of marriage is roughly divided two pattern. One is the westarn style, and another one is the Japanese traditional style. Maybe, the western style is seen in Canada because it is almost same as Canada one. In Japanese traditional style, a bride wears siromuku that is white wedding kimono.

A groom wears hakama that is Japanese traditional wear too.

They generaly hold on wedding in a temple or a shrine. A Shinto priest is in wedding instead of a minister in Japanese traditional style. A newlywed do various kinds of ceremony. I haven't ever seen a wedding inclding the western style, so I don't know about detail. But I think both style of marrige is wonderful. If you want to know more, you should try to search about it!

  1. I saw a few traditional weddings in Japan. They were certainly colorful and elaborate.
